About the author
I build efficient AI systems that organizations can use, govern and trust.

I work across three connected areas: AI systems, AI governance, and AI application. The engineering question is central in all three: can a system deliver useful results efficiently, operate reliably, and remain understandable and governable in a real organisation?
My current professional work is at FWD Insurance, where I build GenAI applications and set up AI governance. That includes LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, production readiness, and the guardrails that help organisations use these systems responsibly. For the current details of my employment history, please see LinkedIn.

I've been working with data and AI for over a decade, back when there weren't many data scientists in Hong Kong. My PhD is in Applied Mathematics (Complexity Science). It taught me to think about complex systems, which turns out to be useful when you are trying to make AI behave in a real organisation.
I've worked across insurance, real estate, retail, CRM, and gaming. The industries change, but the hard part stays the same: building systems that are reliable enough to trust, governable enough to defend, and useful enough to keep.
I'm also into MLOps. In a previous role I built an MLOps platform on Azure ML and Jenkins to standardise how models are deployed.
Writing and projects are organised around AI systems, AI governance, and AI application. You will also find personal projects in history, mathematics, and data. They are secondary to the professional focus, but they show the curiosity and interests behind it.
